Islamabad, November 11, 2024: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its operations against drug smuggling in educational institutions and various cities across Pakistan.
In six separate operations, ANF arrested six suspects and seized 17.12 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs. 86 lakh.
Notable seizures include:- 2.5 kg heroin and 3.5 kg ice recovered from a suspect near Tench Bhatta, Rawalpindi, who confessed to selling drugs to students.- 6 kg charas seized from a suspect on Super Highway, Karachi.- 2.4 kg charas recovered from a 9-10 year-old boy involved in drug smuggling in Sialkot’s Glotian Mood, Diskah.- 1.2 kg charas seized from a suspect at Indus Chowrangi, Korangi, Karachi.- 1.1 kg heroin and a drone recovered from a suspect in Lahore’s Housing Society.- 420 grams of opium found in a suspect’s shoes on M-1 Motorway, Islamabad.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are underway.
The ANF remains committed to eradicating drug trafficking and protecting Pakistan’s youth.
