LCCI for early resolution of trader’s issues

Lahore – The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) held a crucial meeting with a delegation from the ShahAlam Board Market, Lahore, to discuss urgent business challenges and explore potential solutions for a more conducive business environment. The delegation, led by Khawaja Amir, included prominent figures from the ShahAlam Board Market and the discussions were chaired by LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad. Senior Vice President Engineer Khalid Usman and former President Muhammad Ali also spoke on the occasion.

Mian Abuzar Shad emphasized LCCI’s open-door policy for all stakeholders, reiterating that the Chamber is committed to address the concerns of the business community. President Abuzar Shad assured the delegation of LCCI’s proactive role in resolving genuine issues faced by the ShahAlam Board Market.

The President invited written suggestions from the delegation and expressed serious concern over critical issues like inadequate parking spaces, market encroachments etc. He pledged that these concerns would be raised with relevant authorities through LCCI’s advocacy efforts to ensure timely and effective solutions.

Khawaja Amir, President of the ShahAlam Board Market, highlighted the impact of smog in Lahore, urging the Punjab government to explore measures beyond school and market closures. He suggested stricter emissions control and environmental initiatives, such as tree planting, to mitigate smog without disrupting education and commerce.

The meeting was attended by LCCI Executive Committee members Rana Nisar, Khurram Lodhi and Aamir Ali, as well as several members of the Shah Alam Market delegation, including Rana Mujahid Islam, Haji Farukh Iqbal, Raheel Butt, Shahzad Babar, Umar Butt, Haji Azhar Iqbal, Haji Farukh Islam, Chaudhry Irfan, Haji Abid and Khawar Raza. Former Executive Committee members Mian Muhammad Nawaz, Malik Khalid Gujjar and Malik Ghulam Sarwar Hajveri were also present.
