Laughing, Playing & Racing, Running Punjab: CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Committed to Cultural & Tourism Development

Under the unique vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif to promote automobile tourism in Punjab, TDCP 9th Thal Desert Rally will begin today in 03 districts of South Punjab: Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu and Layyah. She expressed best wishes and prayers for the participants of the Rally.

Madam Chief Minister directed the authorities concerned to ensure best arrangements for the participants and fans of the 9th TDCP Thal Desert Rally. She also directed the district administration and police to provide full support for the Rally. She said,”The inclusion of women drivers in the TDCP Thal Desert Rally is welcome.” She added,”We are pursuing a policy of providing equal opportunities for entertainment to the citizens of Punjab.”

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said,”Events like automobile tourism provide opportunities for youth to showcase their talents.” She added,”Thal Desert Automobile Tourism will highlight positive image of Pakistan around the world.”

Madam Chief Minister was briefed,”Registration, tagging, inspection and medical examination of the race participants will be done at Chhanga Manga Dunes in Kot Addu.” She was apprisedl,”Based on the Desert Rally draws, there will be a Qualifying Round of the 9th Thal Desert Rally. There will be royal riding demonstrations at the horse track to entertain the spectators. Traditional kabaddi, javelin throw and traditional Jhumar will also be featured.”

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said,”Stock category race will be held at Kot Addu, Chobara on 9 November.” She added,”Javelin and Kabaddi competitions will also be organized in Layyah. A cultural night and fireworks display will also be held for the entertainment of the fans.”

Madam Chief Minister said,”On 10 November, there will be a jeep race competition for women drivers in the Thal Desert Rally.” She added,”Dirt bike and quad bike races will also be held in Kot Addu and Chobara.” She highlighted,”The prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the 9th Thal Desert Rally will be held at the Faisal Stadium in Muzaffargarh.”
