Larkana,, the Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office Sukkur, headed by Syed Mehmood Ali Shah, conducted an outreach hearing in Larkana. The hearing aimed to address public complaints against government agencies, specifically Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) and Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO).
A total of 108 complaints were heard, with 38 related to SSGCL and 70 related to SEPCO. Saeed Ahmed Korejo, Deputy Manager Billing from SSGCL, and representatives from SEPCO, including Riaz Ali Mangi, Executive Engineer, Tasduq Hakro, Revenue Officer, Shah Murad Jatoi, Revenue Officer, and Aijaz Ali, Revenue Officer, were present to address the complaints.
Each complainant was given a patient hearing, and their grievances were meticulously addressed. The Regional Head emphasized the importance of timely resolution of public complaints and advised the concerned agencies to establish effective internal mechanisms to prevent such issues from recurring. He warned that if the agencies fail to address public grievances promptly, the Federal Ombudsman’s Office will be compelled to intervene.
