Shikarpur, Nov. 07. (Report by Adil Ahmed Dil): The Shikarpur Municipal Committee has launched a comprehensive cleaning drive for the city’s drainage system. Vice Chairman Wasim Saddiqui and Chief Municipal Officer Abid Latif Rajput conducted a thorough inspection of various areas, including Neem Kabar, Machli Market, and others.
The officials oversaw the cleaning of gutters and drains, directing workers to promptly remove debris and ensure thorough cleansing of streets and neighborhoods. To address the issue of stolen iron covers, Chairman Fiaz Mahmood Sheikh ordered the installation of fiber covers on drains throughout the city.
The initiative aims to improve Shikarpur’s sanitation and prevent waterlogging. Municipal workers are working diligently to complete the task, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for residents. The fiber covers will also help prevent future theft and maintain the city’s drainage infrastructure.
