BCSA Delegation Visits Key Institutions in Karachi as Part of Inland Study Tour

Karachi, November 6, 2024: A delegation of 30 participants from the Balochistan Civil Services Academy (BCSA), currently undergoing a 14-week Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC), continued their inland study tour in Karachi. Accompanied by Chief Instructor Dr. Khalid Khan, Directing Staff (Research) Mr. Amir Naeem, and Program Officer Mr. Iftikhar Baloch, the participants engaged in informative visits to prominent institutions as part of their professional training.

The first stop was the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), where participants received a presentation detailing SBP’s history, organizational structure, and the critical role it plays in Pakistan’s economic stability. Topics included the functions of SBP’s Board of Directors, its role in digital financial services, and the central bank’s strategic goals for financial inclusion and Islamic finance by 2028.

Following this, the delegation visited the Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) to gain insight into public safety and crime management through digital technology. Participants were briefed on the CPLC’s initiatives like the Zainab Alert, Women Complaint Cell, and various crime analysis methods. Later, visits to Dawn Media House and Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) offered an understanding of media’s role in public awareness and SIUT’s commitment to providing free healthcare services without cash counters for patients. The BCSA delegation found these visits highly educational as they continue to explore various public and social service sectors.
