A high-level delegation led by Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Rana Qasim Noon, met with Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq in Muzaffarabad. The delegation included committee members Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Fathullah Khan, Vehiya Qamar, and Syed Javed Ali Shah Jillani
Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq emphasized the significance of Kashmir, stating that the region’s history, geography, and water resources are integral to Pakistan. He highlighted the sufferings of the Kashmiri people, particularly since the massacre in Jammu on November 6, 1947, which forced millions of Muslims to migrate to Pakistan.
Rana Qasim Noon reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmir cause, acknowledging the government’s efforts to raise awareness about the issue. He expressed concern that the Kashmir issue had lost momentum internationally since August 5, 2019, but praised the Prime Minister and Army Chief’s actions for reinvigorating the cause.
The meeting reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to resolving the Kashmir dispute, with Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq asserting that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and a national priority. The delegation’s visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between Azad Kashmir and Pakistan, ensuring a united front on the Kashmir issue.
