QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering and WASA, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran has directed to the concerned high ups to collect complete data of the tube wells installed at government expense all over the province.
He also directed to submit detail of the tube wells which are non-functional.
The Minister PHE issued these directives taking notice of the public issues regarding water supply in the province, here on Tuesday.
He also directed to take stern action against those responsible in the areas where either the tube wells are non-functional or from where the water is not being supplied to the people.
In addition to this, prompt steps must be taken to make the non-operational tube wells functional all over the province, he directed further.
The Minister also took notice of the non-supply of water from the tube wells installed in four walls of the houses at the expense of government.
Seeking details of such tube wells, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran said that these tube wells are not meant for individuals, rather these have been established to benefit the general public, adding he made it clear.
He also directed to submit plan for vacating the possession of people from the government tube wells. He stressed that timeline should be framed in this regard.
He said that the government installs tube wells spending public exchequer just to facilitate the common men, so they should benefit from them.
Meanwhile, the Minister PHE sent the summary of 25 percent adhoc allowance for employees of WASA to the concerned authorities for approval.
