Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed her desire to purchase Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and rebrand it as “Air Punjab.” This development comes after the national carrier’s privatization process remains incomplete, sparking questions about the government’s plans for PIA’s future. The recent bidding process failed to meet the Privatization Commission’s demand of over 85 billion rupees, with the sole bidder, Blue World City, offering only 10 billion rupees.
