Mansehra :- The annual school girls sports festival commenced yesterday at Government Girls Middle School (GGMS) Sandesar, Mansehra, amidst great enthusiasm and fanfare.
The middle school opening ceremony was attended by District Education Officer (DEO) Naghmana Sardar, Deputy DEO Faiza Noureen, and headmistresses of middle schools from across the district.
The ceremony began by a cake-cutting ceremony and the lighting of the Olympic flame. Students from various schools presented entertaining items, showcasing Kashmir’s rich culture and heritage through performances and tableaux highlighting the importance of trees.
Addressing the gathering, DEO Naghmana Sardar and Deputy DEO Faiza Noureen emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, accepting wins and losses wholeheartedly, and the significance of participation. They stressed that teachers play a vital role in encouraging students to engage in extracurricular activities.
“Sports festivals like these help instill teamwork, discipline, and confidence in our students,” said DEO Naghmana Sardar. “I commend the efforts of our teachers and students in making this event a success.”
