Quetta, October 31, 2024: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Women Development Department, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi has emphasized that policy and legislative changes are essential at all levels to promote gender equality and rights in Balochistan.
She shared these thoughts during a meeting with a delegation led by Dr. Asfandyar Sherani, the provincial head of the World Health Organization. Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi stated Balochistan Governments’ commitment to mainstreaming the rights of women and children, aiming to provide equal opportunities to every individual in society.
Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi highlighted that joint efforts by parliamentarians, government and non-governmental organizations, and civil society are the key to creating a prosperous and equitable society. She further noted that workshops and training sessions are vital for promoting gender equality and ensuring the welfare of women.
The provincial advisor also stressed the need to accelerate efforts to include gender rights in legislation, enabling easier access for women to education, health, and other basic facilities within the province
