An incident near Motorway Central (I) Sial Mor recently demonstrated the bravery of National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) officers who risked their lives to save a family from a burning car. The vehicle, a Toyota Corolla driven by Dawood Ahmed, was headed to Faisalabad when a petrol leak caused it to catch fire. NHMP officers DSP Syed Hasnat Ali, Inspector Saifullah, and Lady Sub-Inspector Maleeha Saqlain acted swiftly, using modern firefighting equipment to control the flames and evacuate the passengers safely.

In a ceremony at the Central Police Office in Islamabad, Inspector General Salman Chaudhry honored the officers with cash prizes and certificates of appreciation for their courageous actions. IG Salman Chaudhry praised their dedication and encouraged NHMP officers to continue serving with the same commitment, ensuring the safety and support of all travellers on national highways.
