FPCCI leader emphasizes upon establishing universities for skill development of children of province; slams stopping legal trade in name of prevention of smuggling

QUETTA: The central leader of Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) S. M. Tanveer has stated that Balochistan is a resource rich province, but despite blessed with the immense resources, the ratio of poverty is the highest here.
He stressed the need to set up industries in the province for promotion of the employment opportunities. He said that it is our target to provide job opportunities to the people of province, as unemployment is an important issue in the province.
We have discussed the issues related to the province and found out that unemployment is an important issue that needs to be resolved, emphasized the FPCCI central leader while addressing a joint press conference here on Sunday morning.
Other leaders and office bearers of the FPCCI and Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) were also present on the occasion.
S.M. Tanveer referring his meeting with the representatives of Chamber of Commerce in Quetta said that it was good, as during the course, the issues of Balochistan were discussed. During the meeting, we also talked about the solution to the issues being faced in the province, he added.
He said that unemployment is an important issue in the province, which was discussed thoroughly.
He stressed the need to establish industries for promotion of livelihood opportunities in the province.
He also emphasized upon setting up industries for the skill development of the children so that they are able to earn livelihood.
He on the occasion lamented alleged action against legal trade saying that issues are created by stopping legal trade in the name of prevention of smuggling.
He announced that the traders conference would be held in December this year in Islamabad with focus on Balochistan.
He vowed that we would work for resolving the issues of Balochistan like IPPs. He also shared the good news that the electricity would be available to the people of country at 9 cents very soon.
Earlier, the senior leader of FPCCI from Balochistan, Farooq Khilji also addressed the presser and maintained that we are representatives of Balochistan in the center and want to play our role for promotion of trade in the province.
He said there are several economic issues being faced in the province.
He said that we want that our issues are resolved.
