PkMAP to hold Jirgahs on issue of law & order with 1st on November 9 & 10 in Loralai: says Chairman

QUETTA: The Chairman, Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), Mehmood Khan Achakzai has announced to hold Jirgah on the issue of law and order in Loralai Division on November 9 and 10, 2024.
He said that the people from different districts of the Pashtoon divisions would be called in the Jirgah seeking their opinion on the issue.
He said that Jirgahs would also be held in other divisions including Quetta afterwards.
The Chairman PkMAP was addressing a hurriedly called press conference here on Sunday evening.
He said that the decision regarding convening Jirgah was made after the incidents of Musakhail, Duki and Harnai.
He said that the law and order situation has deteriorated in the province with killing of innocent people is continued.
In view of the situation, we decided to go to the people, he added. He said that the Party would adopt strict course of action after consulting the issue with people in Jirgahs.
He said that the law enforcement agencies are getting taxes on the resources, but protection is not provided.
He said per ton taxes are being collected on account of the security from the coal mine owners in the province, but on the other hand, mine owners and labourers are facing insecurity.
The Chairman PkMAP questioned the government as why it has kept mum on the issue.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai asserted that it is not acceptable to Pashtoonkhaw MAP what’s going on in the province and region.
He said that we have to make our highways peaceful and safe.
He said that we have been disappointed with the “democracy “ and the assemblies.
