Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Khan Kakar Takes Urgent Action

Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Khan Kakar acting on the special directives of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfsrz Bugti, conducted a 5-hour-long surprise visit to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Quetta ¹. During his visit, Minister Kakar expressed extreme displeasure upon discovering that hospital equipment and supplies, donated by the United Arab Emirates government since the hospital’s establishment, remained unused.

 

– *Unused Medical Equipment:* Minister Kakar inspected the hospital’s basement, where he found millions of rupees worth of unused medical equipment, including blankets, bed rests, clothing, and other essential items.
– *Emergency Ward, ICU, and Laboratories:* He also visited the emergency ward, ICU, and laboratories to assess the availability of medicines and cleanliness.
– *Investigation Committee:* The minister ordered the formation of an investigation committee to probe into the non-utilization of valuable medical resources.
– *Commitment to Quality Healthcare:* Minister Kakar reaffirmed his commitment to providing quality healthcare facilities to the public.

This surprise visit and subsequent actions demonstrate the provincial government’s efforts to ensure the effective delivery of healthcare services in Balochistan, as part of Chief Minister Bugti’s vision to empower hospitals financially and administratively ¹.
