QUETTA: The Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti formally inaugurated the project of solarization of the agricultural tube wells in Pishin district on Thursday.
The inauguration ceremony of the project was attended by the Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Cooperative Society, Mir Ali Madad Jatak, members of the provincial assembly, Asghar Khan Tareen, Syed Zafar Ali Agha, Zarak Khan Mandokhail, office bearers of Zamindar Action Committee, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Energy, Bashir Khan Bazai, Secretary Finance, Babar Khan, Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, Chief Executive Officer, Quetta Electric Supply Company and elders of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister noted with pleasure that we are going to resolve the long-standing issue of electricity faced by the zamindars in Balochistan on permanent basis.
He said that this project of solarization of the agricultural tube wells would bring revolutionary changes in the agriculture sector of the province.
The Chief Minister also said that we have materialized the dream of mega project of solarization today.
He said that the Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif extended his wholehearted cooperation with the provincial government.
He said that we are pleased that the federal government endorsed the stance of provincial government.
He said that there was good intention behind delay in the project.
He said the government would send the amount for solarization direct to the accounts of zamindars saying that this is their money and they should get it.
The Chief Minister said that transparency would be ensured in the whole process.
Moreover, he once again reiterated his resolve to ensure merit and transparency in the recruitments to be made in the education sector.
In addition to this, the provincial government is paying special attention on education and health sectors.
Meanwhile, the members of provincial assembly Asghar Khan Tareen and Syed Zafar Ali Agha and office bearers of Zamindars Action Committee also addressed the gathering.
