Islamabad, Oct. 24: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted a successful operation near Motorway Interchange Balkasar, thwarting an attempt to smuggle narcotics from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a key suspect and the seizure of 232.8 kilograms of narcotics, valued at over Rs. 3 crore. The recovered drugs included 174 kilograms of charas and 58.8 kilograms of opium.
The suspect is a key member of a smuggling group responsible for trafficking narcotics to various districts in Punjab. Investigations are underway to apprehend other group members.
A case has been registered against the suspect under the Anti-Narcotics Act at the ANF Police Station.
