Islamabad, Oct 21 – Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, addressed the Data Fest 2024 ceremony, emphasizing the crucial role of data in driving Pakistan’s future development.
Iqbal noted that we live in an era of rapid change, having witnessed the transformation from tablets to 5G technology. He stressed that data and modern technology will propel this revolution forward.
“The digital revolution is underway, and data is its fuel. Quality data is the foundation of artificial intelligence and informed decision-making,” Iqbal said.
As Pakistan shapes its future in 2024, reliable data will be essential. Iqbal’s remarks come as the country prepares to celebrate its centennial independence anniversary in 2047.
The event was attended by Chairman NADRA Lt. Gen. Munir Afser, Secretary Planning Ovais Manzur Sarmad, Chief PBS Naeem Azfar, and representatives from federal and provincial ministries, among other stakeholders.
