Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the International Investment Consortium (IIC) during his visit to Dubai. The agreement aims to promote comprehensive development and investment in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Key areas of focus include:
Construction of an international airport in Gilgit
Increased international flights at Skardu Airport
Investment in major hydropower projects
Development of mining and tourism sectors
Collaboration with relevant GB departments
The GB Investment Board will work on these projects, aligning with the provincial government’s vision and needs. All agreements will be approved by the provincial cabinet and stakeholders before implementation.
This partnership is expected to boost Gilgit-Baltistan’s economic growth and development.
