Dr Rubaba calls for addressing health issues of women & children in Naseerabad Division on urgent basis
Quetta, October 19, 2024: Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for the Department of Women Development, has emphasized the urgent need to address the health issues of women and children in the Naseerabad Division, particularly malnutrition and the high mortality rates of mothers and children. She stressed the importance of adopting a comprehensive strategy to tackle these critical challenges.
She expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of health experts and consultants from the Naseerabad Division. The delegation discussed various health issues affecting women, especially malnutrition in women and children, and exchanged suggestions for potential solutions.
Dr. Rubaba Buledi pointed out that reducing maternal mortality rates in the Naseerabad Division requires not only improvements in healthcare infrastructure but also the provision of social and economic opportunities for women to ensure their overall well-being. She further noted that empowering women through skills training and social development would contribute positively to their health.
She also expressed deep concern over the high child mortality rates and emphasized the need to implement expert recommendations to achieve significant improvements and progress in the health sector.
