Shikarpur police claimed to have arrested an injured dacoit and foiled a dacoity attempt late last night. According to details, Lakhi Ghulam Shah police received a tip-off about a group of dacoits standing on the Lakhian Link Road.
SHO Lakhi Ghulam Shah and his team rushed to the scene, where the dacoits opened fire. In the ensuing shootout, one dacoit, Ghulam Abbas Hikadro, was arrested in an injured state, while seven others escaped.
Police recovered a 30-bore pistol and loaded magazine from the suspect. The injured dacoit was shifted to a hospital, and his criminal record is being investigated. Disciplinary action is underway.
The successful operation demonstrates Shikarpur police’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety. Further investigations are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
