Balochistan Introduces Grading System, Establishes Complaint Cell

Quetta, October 15, : In a historic move, the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has introduced a grading system for the first time in the province’s history. This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Provincial Education Minister Rahila Hameed Durrani, with Secretary Colleges and Higher Education Hafiz Muhammad Tahir and Chairman Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Aijaz Azim Baloch in attendance.

*Key Features of the Grading System:*Replacement of Numerical System_: The traditional marks/numbers system will be replaced with a grading system, providing students with grades instead of numerical scores.
– _Positions Abolished_: The first, second, and third positions will no longer be recognized.
– _Second Board to Implement Grading_: After the Federal Board, Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will be the second board to adopt the grading system.

This significant reform aims to bring transparency and fairness to the education system in Balochistan. By introducing a grading system, the board seeks to reduce pressure on students and promote a more holistic approach to learning ¹.
