Khairpur (PR) Rotaract Club of Khairpur United organized a lecture program at Ghani Public Elementary School, Kolab Jial as a “Prevent Polio” awareness campaign. On this occasion, the president of the club, Marvi Soomro, said in a video message that by taking the polio vaccine, we can save today’s children and tomorrow’s youth from lifelong disability. She said that parents must give polio drops to their children as a proof of their love. Those who oppose this campaign should be asked whether they have any evidence that any child has been harmed by drinking polio drops?!
Club trainer Habib Asim said that polio has been eradicated from other countries of the world, only such cases are still coming up in Pakistan, the reason for this is lack of awareness, you students should be a part of this campaign to eradicate polio from Pakistan.
On this occasion, Abdul Salam Abro presented the best teacher award to the principal of the school Gulshan Ali Abro on behalf of the club in recognition of his academic services۔
He said that along with other activities, children should be exposed to reading domestic and foreign literature. He encouraged children to read books of English, Urdu and Sindhi literature and play social roles. On this occasion, the club asked the children educational, historical and general knowledge questions and those who answered correctly were given shirts, caps, bags, badges and stickers as prizes.
The principal of Ghani Public Elementary School, Kolab Jial thanked all the members of the club and said that I am indebted to the love I have received from my friends. I hope that these children of our institution will play their role and make the name of the country bright. .
