Deputy Commissioner of Mastung Orders Restoration of Old Lakpas Route

Mastung, Oct 12: Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Mir Baz Khan Mari has taken swift action to address public complaints regarding traffic congestion at Lakpas Tunnel, which frequently blocks the national highway for hours ¹.

To alleviate travelers’ difficulties, Captain Mari has initiated the complete restoration of the old Lakpas route for small passenger vehicles plying the Quetta-Karachi and Quetta-Taftan national highways. Accompanied by XEN B&R Mastung Road Section Hamal Gichki, the Deputy Commissioner personally inspected the old route to oversee its repair.- _Restoration of Old Lakpas Route_: The old route will be fully restored to facilitate small passenger vehicles.
– _Regular Schedule_: Small vehicles will operate according to a regular schedule, daily from 6:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
– _Relief for Travelers_: This move aims to provide relief to travelers who face difficulties due to frequent blockages at Lakpas Tunnel.
