Islamabad, Oct 9, – Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamir Farooq has suspended Senior Civil Judge Inamullah Khan for granting stay orders despite the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Mona Lisa restaurant case.

Judge Inamullah has been made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and ordered to report to the High Court immediately. Chief Justice Farooq has also initiated an inquiry against Judge Inamullah, appointing Session Judge Kamran Bashir Mufti as the inquiry officer.

The move reaffirms the High Court’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring accountability within its ranks.

This decision comes after the Supreme Court’s clear directives on the Mona Lisa restaurant case, emphasizing the need for lower courts to respect and implement apex court verdicts.
