FIA Cracks Down on Cybercrime: Three Arrested for Honey Trapping and Blackmailing

Islamabad, Oct 9,- The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three individuals in Multan for their involvement in honey trapping and blackmailing on social media ¹. The operation was carried out under the direction of FIA Director General Ahmed Ishaq Jehangir.

The arrested individuals, identified as Sohail Ahmed, Muhammad Hafiz, and Muhammad Fiazan, used honey trapping to obtain compromising images and videos of their victims. They would then blackmail the victims, extorting large sums of money from them.

The FIA used modern resources to track down the suspects, and efforts are underway to apprehend the group’s fugitive leader. The arrested individuals are residents of Multan.

This operation is part of the FIA’s ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and protect citizens from online exploitation. The agency encourages anyone affected by such crimes to come forward and report them.
