Pakistan Hosts Key Non-Proliferation Conference

ISPR Rawalpindi, Oct. 8 (P. R. ) The Strategic Vision Institute (SVI) in Islamabad has successfully hosted the Islamabad Non-Proliferation Conference 2024, a two-day international event that brought together renowned scholars and experts from around the world. The conference aimed to foster constructive dialogue on global strategic issues and share Pakistan’s policy perspectives.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, was the Chief Guest at the conference, which featured keynote addresses by distinguished policymakers and practitioners from Pakistan. These included General Zubair Mehmood Hayat (Retired), Former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Lt. Gen. Khalid Ahmed Kidwai, Advisor National Command Authority (NCA), and Lt. Gen. Sarfraz Sattar, Advisor, NCA.


Prominent international scholars from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO RAS) and the Center for Energy participated in the conference, sharing their expertise and insights on non-proliferation and global strategic issues ¹ ². The event provided a valuable platform for discussions on pressing global concerns and Pakistan’s role in promoting regional and international security.
