Quetta, October 8, 2024: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Women Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, emphasized the need for effective public health legislation and the formulation of a One Health policy to address the pandemic situation and strengthen the health system in Balochistan. She expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation from the International Health Regulations Islamabad under the leadership of Dr.SafiUllah.

Dr. Rubaba Buledi stated that “to effectively respond to the challenges facing public health, it is essential to further stabilize our health system. This requires the development of modern laws and policies in the health sector that not only tackle current pandemic situations but also provide effective strategies for future health emergencies.”

Highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts for effective change in the health sector, Dr. Rubaba Buledi mentioned that the implementation of a One Health policy would enhance cooperation across various health domains. This policy will help us understand the deep interconnections among all aspects of health.

She further noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, solid and effective measures are being taken to improve the health sector in the province, and the provincial government is committed to working alongside other institutions in this endeavor.
