Joint Task Force of Health and Livestock Depts to be formed for prevention of Congo virus

QUETTA: The Special Secretary Health, Mujeebur Rehman Qambrani has announced that Joint Task Force of the Health and Livestock departments would be formed for prevention of the congo virus in the province.
The Special Secretary Health said that the Joint Task Force would hold programmes for awareness of the general public against the Congo virus in different areas of the province.
He was chairing a meeting on prevention of the Congo virus here on Wednesday.
The Director General of Health, Dr. Amin Khan Mandokhail, Provincial Head of Malaria Control Programme / Vector Borne Diseases, Balochistan, Dr. Aamir Iqbal Raisani, Director Institute of Public Health, Dr. Safia Mengal, District Health Officer Quetta, Dr. Asfandyar, Executive Director TB Sanatorium, Dr. Shirin Khan, Deputy Director Livestock, Dr. Khushhal Khan Kasi, and other concerned officials.
The meeting discussed the measures for prevention of Congo virus in the province. They also talked about the treatment facilities for the patients and precautionary measures for the doctors treating the patients in isolation wards, besides the need of awareness.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Secretary Health said that the Health department is fully active to overcome the epidemic of Congo virus in the province. He said that the Congo virus would be eradicated from the province soon.
