Swat:- Newly appointed (DIG) Deputy Inspector General of Police Malakand Division Irfanullah Khan has said that Swat police has not only the ability to fight against terrorism but also have the
spirit to eliminate the menace from the region. Talking to our correspondent DIG said that ensuring law and order situation across the region is the top priority of police while steps were being taken in this regard.

The Police force remained always the first target of terrorists, hundreds of police personnel along with officers lost their previous lives for the restoration of peace in the area, he added. Newly appointed DIG said that Malakand police is a brave police force and they have the ability and are ready to fight any untoward incident.

I instructed all the police officers that they should create a friendly environment and should be humble and courteous while interacting with the general public in the police station and giving respect to them, DIG added. He said that his office doors are open for
everyone, the public has access during office timing and their problems will be addressed on priority basis.

He appealed to the general public that they should cooperate with police and should inform police about suspicious people.
