QUETTA: The much awaited reforms have begun in the Education Department, Balochistan as per the vision of Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Show cause notices were issued to the District Education Officers of five districts on avoiding disciplinary action against the willful and chronic absentee teachers in their respective districts while services of some have also been placed under suspension.
The show cause notices were issued to the District Education Officers of Killa Abdullah, Awaran, Usta Muhammad, Ziarat and Kharan.
In the notices issued to the DEOs, it was stated that they willfully avoided initiating disciplinary proceedings against chronic absentee teachers reported during the visits by the concerned teams to date without any cogent reasons, which in turn badly affecting the education service delivery at the district level.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed contentment over the opening of closed schools in different parts of the province saying that Alhamdulillah, the schools closed for decades are functioning in the province.
He said that a school of Awaran district closed for last 12 years has been opened. He said that the teachers have been posted in the school while books and stationery have also been made available there.
He said that a large number of children are being decorated with ornament of education in the school, which is a matter of pleasure.
In a tweet on his social media account, the Chief Minister highly appreciated the Deputy Commissioner Awaran, Ms. Ayesha Zehri in this regard.
