QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that the Grand Jirgah held in Zhob is the biggest in the history of Zhob Division and said that it (Grand Jirgah) would cast positive impacts on the overall law and order situation of the province particularly of Zhob Division besides economic growth and provision of the conducive environment.
The Governor said that the tribal Jirgah stressed the need to speed up work on the ongoing development projects in Zhob and remove the public complaints.
While addressing the tribal Jirgah in Zhob on Thursday, the Governor stressed that it is need of hour to do consultation to cope with the present challenges at the national level.
The Governor also stressed that we can prepare a joint course of action by bringing together the diversified point of view, which would prove to be helpful for moving ahead the journey of peace, development and prosperity.
It may be mentioned here that also present in the tribal Jirgah were the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, provincial ministers, Bakh Muhammad Kakar and Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Parliamentary Secretary Sardar Masood Luni, MPA, Fazal Qadir, Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Shahabuddin, Inspector General of Police, Moazzam Jah Ansari, high ups, elected public representatives and tribal elders, local administrative and security officers.
The Governor said that the historic grand Jirgah was held in the history of Zhob Division in which Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, parliamentarians, military leadership, district administration, political, tribal and religious personalities participated.
The Jirgah stressed the need to expedite speed of development work on the ongoing projects.
He said that peace and development are compulsory for one another. He said the sustainable peace and public security is the basis for development of the civilized society.
He said that a peaceful and economically prosperous society enable the people to lead life with dignity and freedom.
He said that the circumstances have reached such an extent that we are getting affected due to the terrorism and fundamentalism directly or indirectly. Therefore, we have to find out the solution to the prevailing lawlessness sitting together.
The Governor also stressed the need for immediate consultation to cope with the present challenges at national level.
