A one-day seminar on “Local Governance and Peacebuilding” was organized by the Department of Municipal and Rural Development. The event was attended by Provincial Education Minister Rahila Hamid Khan Durrani, Secretary Local Government Abdul Rauf Baloch, Director General Local Government Syed Agha Zulfiqar Shah, Director Balochistan Rural Development Academy Nematullah Babar, Director General Balochistan Civil Service Academy Hafiz Jamali, chairmen and vice chairmen of all districts, officers of the department, and other officials.
Addressing the seminar, Provincial Education Minister Rahila Hamid Khan Durrani said that maintaining peace and improving governance in the province is the responsibility of local government representatives, who have a direct connection with the people.
She added that the current government, led by Chief Minister Mir Srafraz Bugti, is working tirelessly to bring reforms and development to all parts of the province, in line with public aspirations, through a dynamic and visionary approach.
The minister emphasized the importance of strengthening local government institutions and ensuring effective service delivery to the people.
