Constitutional amendments should be made with consensus: Solution of county’s problems lies in fresh general elections, insists Chairman PkMAP

QUETTA: The Head of Tahafuz Tehreek Aayeen-e-Pakistan and Chairman Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Mehmood Khan Achakzai has stated that the solution to the problems being faced by the country lies in fresh elections, so all political parties should set principles in this regard.
He said that the right to elect the public representatives should be with the people.
He said that the solution to the issues is possible through supremacy of constitution, strengthening of democracy and rule of law.
The Chairman of PkMAP was speaking to the media persons here on Wednesday.
To a question, Mehmood Khan Achakzai said that the constitutional amendments are not made through conspiracies and that behind the closed doors.
He said that the constitution is not mere a piece of paper rather it is a sacred document.
He stressed that the amendments in constitution should be made with consensus according to the requirements of the country and people.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai regretfully pointed out that we didn’t learn lesson from breaking of the country.
He said that hardships would be increased further by keeping the popular leader behind the bar.
He said that Maulana Fazalur Rehman is a seasoned politician, he would suffer politically, if he accepted the constitutional amendments in present form.
The Chairman PkMAP said that it was a mockery the manner elections were conducted and the governments formed.
He said that more than 3 crore people live below the poverty line, and the government that could not arrange livelihood for the people, it has no right to rule.
