Islamabad:Sep. 08 Drector General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir has taken notice of the firing on FIA and police officers during a raid in Karachi. The DG FIA has sought a report from the Director FIA Karachi Zone regarding the incident.
The DG FIA has ordered strict action against the elements involved in the incident and directed that the culprits be arrested and brought to justice as soon as possible. The FIA will utilize all resources to eliminate the smuggling networks and their elements.
The FIA State Bank Circle Karachi, along with the Quaidabad Police, conducted a raid on a mobile phone shop in Shah Latif area on a tip-off about the presence of smuggled and non-customs cleared mobile phones. The raiding team had received secret information about the presence of over 160 smuggled iPhones. The action was taken in collaboration with the local police, and the smuggling network is believed to be present in the mobile market of Shah Latifabad.
