A tourist from Karachi, Muhammad Abid Khan, who was stranded in Kumrat due to flash floods and bad weather, was rescued by the Pakistan Army in a timely operation. Muhammad Abid Khan, along with his family, had arrived in Kumrat on August 28 but got stuck due to flash floods on August 29.
Muhammad Abid Khan was facing a health emergency due to a shortage of medicines, which put his life at risk. The Pakistan Army responded promptly to the distress call and sent a helicopter to rescue the family.
The family expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army for the successful rescue operation. “We were stuck in Kumrat since August 28 due to flash floods. We appealed to the Pakistan Army for rescue due to my illness,” said Muhammad Abid Khan.
Our medicines were also running out. The Pakistan Army’s response was commendable,” he added.
We are grateful to the Pakistan Army for conducting a timely rescue operation,” said Muhammad Abid Khan. My husband and I are both ill. The Pakistan Army helped us very well and took care of us,” said Mrs. Muhammad Abid Khan.
