Cyclone Ashani Hits Ormara, Balochistan; Hotel Roof Collapses, Two Injured

Ormara, August 31: The coastal city of Ormara in Balochistan is experiencing severe weather conditions due to Cyclone Ashani in the Arabian Sea. Strong winds and intermittent heavy rainfall have been reported since morning. The newly constructed roof of the New Quetta Madina Hotel in Ormara market collapsed due to strong winds, injuring two people, including the hotel owner.

President of the Ormara Traders Association, Fahim Nasser, and Vice President Naseem Saleem visited the affected hotel to assess the damage. The injured individuals have been shifted to the Pakistan Navy Hospital for medical treatment.

According to the Meteorological Department, severe winds and heavy rainfall are expected in the coastal areas of Balochistan until September 1.
