Public Protest in Chaman Against Passport Regime at Pak-Afghan Border

Chaman (Sayed Sardar Muhammad Khondai, Bureau Chief) – A historic protest was held in Chaman, attended by thousands of people, including members of all parties, traders, and various schools of thought. The protesters chanted slogans against the implementation of the passport regime at the Chaman Pak-Afghan border.

The protest, led by Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Yousaf, a central member of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, started from Taji Road and passed through various city roads before culminating in a large sit-in at the Chaman DC Complex. Leaders of various political, tribal, and social organizations addressed the gathering, stating that the passport regime at the Chaman Pak-Afghan border is unacceptable and amounts to cruelty towards thousands of relatives and daily wage earners who have been rendered jobless.
