PAKISTAN NAVY’S NEW WARSHIP PNS HUNAIN VISITS OMAN

Rawalpindi, August 29, 2024 – According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, Pakistan Navy’s new warship PNS Hunain has arrived in Oman for a visit, where it participated in a naval exercise with the Royal Navy of Oman. The exercise aimed to promote mutual cooperation and joint operation capabilities between the two naval forces.

During the visit, the Commanding Officer of PNS Hunain met with Omani military officials and discussed matters of mutual interest. The visit is part of regular high-level meetings, warship visits, joint exercises, and mutual maritime patrols between the two countries.

PNS Hunain is the third of four Yarmook-class ships built for the Pakistan Navy at the DAMEN Naval Shipyard in Romania. Its recent visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two naval forces.

A formal induction ceremony for PNS Hunain into the Pakistan Navy will be held on September 6 at the Naval Dockyard, with President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari as the guest of honor.
