Collapse of railway bridge in Dozan: Train service from Quetta to Punjab, Sindh suspended

QUETTA: The train service from Quetta to the interior country including Punjab and Sindh was suspended after the railway bridge located in Dozan area of Bolan pass got collapsed following the explosion on Monday.
The Railway authorities informed that some unknown assailants blew up the railway bridge constructed over a century ago. As a result, the railway bridge caved in suspending the railway service between Quetta and rest of the country.
Following the subversive act, the trains including Jaffar Express and Bolan Mail could not proceed for Rawalpindi and Karachi respectively on Monday morning.
Similarly, the Bolan Mail coming from Karachi to Quetta was stopped at Larkana while Jaffar Express coming from Rawalpindi was intercepted at Sukkur.
While on the other hand, the Railway authorities, local administration and law enforcement agencies rushed towards the site.
Meanwhile, the railway tracks were also blown up at two different places in Mastung and Sheikh Wasal areas suspending the luggage train between Quetta and Taftan.
Further investigations are in progress.
