QUETTA: The provinces of Balochistan and Sindh have been agreed on adopting same stance on the formula of distribution of water at the platform of IRSA.
The Balochistan province would endorse every stance of Sindh under the IRSA formula.
This was decided in a meeting the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari presided over through video link on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by the Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Balochistan, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani from Quetta and Provincial Minister for Irrigation Sindh, Jam Khan Shoro from Karachi.
Both the ministers informed the meeting about performance of their respective departments.
It may be mentioned here that that the meeting was aimed at agreeing to one same stance about the formula of distribution of water at the platform of IRSA.
Thus, they adopted the same stance on directives of the Chairman PPP.
The Chairman PPP sought the details of losses caused due to the flash floods in Sindh and Balochistan.
The provincial ministers informed the chairman PPP about the damages caused due to the rains and floods besides the steps taken by their departments for the compensation.
