STUDENTS PROTEST AGAINST HARASSMENT AND POLICE BRUTALITY AT CHANDKA MEDICAL COLLEGE

Larkana, August 18: Students of Chandka Medical College staged a protest demonstration outside the college premises against the harassment of female students in the girls’ hostel and police brutality against students.

The protest was led by the college students’ organization, with leaders Ji Laghari, District Information Secretary Aman Khaskheli, and District General Secretary Comrade Bilawal Solangi addressing the protesters.

The leaders demanded a transparent inquiry into the harassment incidents in the hostel, inclusion of students in the inquiry committee, immediate removal of the hostel provost, deputy provost, security in-charge, and hostel management authority in-charge, installation of CCTV cameras in the hostel, withdrawal of false FIRs against students, and abolition of unjust fees to enable poor students to complete their education.

The protesters chanted slogans against the college administration and demanded justice for the affected students. The demonstration was peaceful, and no untoward incident was reported.
