Around 1,400 cases of diarrhea have been reported in Chaman, but no confirmed cases of cholera have been reported so far. Dr. Mandokhail sent samples to the National Institute of Health in Islamabad and Karachi for further testing.

Initial rapid testing kits indicated an alarm, but it cannot be confirmed as cholera. Six samples have been sent to the BMC Quetta lab for cross-checking. Three suspected cases of cholera have been sent to Karachi for final reports.

According to Dr. Mandokhail, initial reports suggest that the outbreak is not cholera but diarrhea. The Director General of Health Services Balochistan stated that the situation is under control outside Chaman city.
