QUETTA: The Quetta administration raided over 200 meat shops located in different parts of Quetta city on Saturday.
According to an official handout issued here, as many as 71 meat shops were sealed and 21 butchers arrested on the charges of violation of official price list.
The arrested butchers were sent to the jail for further process.
The raids were conducted on Kasi road, Arbab Karam Khan road, Samungli road, Joint road, Aalmo chowk, Bakelite, Prince road, besides Kuchlak.
The Assistant Commissioners and Magistrates took part in the campaign against the profiteers.
During the raids, the situation of cleanliness and hygienic conditions were also reviewed.
