Over 10,000 liters of fake and unhealthy cold drinks seized
BFA Special Task Force raided a distribution unit in Akhtarabad area of Quetta on a tip-off and found thousands of fake bottles of well-known companies.
All seized cold drinks were confiscated, and further legal action was taken against the distributor.
Non-standard and unhealthy cold drinks included fake Fanta, Dew, and Coca-Cola.
The production unit making fake cold drinks will be traced soon, and strict legal action will be taken.
DG Balochistan Food Authority Atiqullah Khan said that adulteration and counterfeiting in food for personal gain is a serious crime that will not be tolerated.
Director General BFA said that those involved in counterfeiting cannot hide from the authority.
Atiqullah Khan appealed to citizens to check the quality of food items and report any adulteration or counterfeiting to the authority
