QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has stated that the seeds of hatred were sowed in minds of youth to keep them away from the state through social media under the pre-planned conspiracy.
He said that the state would remove their sense of deprivations by embracing them. He stressed that there is need to implement the Balochistan Youth Policy 2024 in real terms so as to guide the youngsters in right direction and they get opportunities of progress and move ahead.
The Chief Minister stated so was while chairing the 5th meeting of Balochistan cabinet held here on Friday.
During the course of meeting, certain important decisions were made on the agenda points of different departments.
While addressing the meeting, Chief Minister issued orders for return of the loans of the private banks payable against the food department at the earliest.
He said that we can’t pay the exchequer of poor public on account of the interest. He regretfully pointed out that Rs. 2 million are being paid as interest daily while Rs. 60 million are paid monthly on this account. This is sheer cruelty and as such this practice must be stopped, he added.
The Chief Minister vowed to increase professional capability of police and levies for restoration of peace in the province. As responsibility of both the forces is same, therefore, the restoration of peace should be the basic target through better coordination irrespective of the difference of area.
He said that we would not go against the law. The Chief Minister stressed that the autonomous authorities have to increase their own resources instead of depending on the government. For how long, the public exchequer would continue to be spent on such authorities, he quipped.
He said that basically, the objective behind establishment of the authorities is to increase the resources, but unfortunately, the authorities become dependent on the government and depend on the government instead of generating their resources.
He said that if the non-development expenditures continue to rise then the government would not have the resources for basic facilities of education, health and water supply.
