DIG Khuzdar Range, Sohail Khalid, has said that police are playing a vital role in maintaining peace in the region. He stated that police have made brave decisions in a risky environment, providing a sense of security to the public.
Khalid emphasized that the police are working hard to improve their performance despite limited resources. He stressed the need to increase trust in the police to enable them to perform better.
He also discussed the need to improve police stations’ infrastructure and increase the number of police stations in the future. Khalid mentioned that clear messages have been conveyed to the police regarding the elimination of excesses and providing equal justice to the public.
He acknowledged that there are good and bad individuals in every institution and emphasized the need to encourage good performers and train those with shortcomings. Khalid also mentioned that a mechanism has been established to bring about reforms in the police department.
Regarding narcotics, Khalid stated that police have been given special instructions to increase their efforts and take special measures to prevent smuggling. He also mentioned the need for a special campaign to curb street crimes and improve the overall law and order situation.
Khalid emphasized the need to expand the police area to better manage the line area and establish an investigation system in the B-area. He suggested increasing police resources and expanding their role to enable them to play a more effective role in maintaining peace.
