In a heartwarming reunion, three Pakistani fishermen who were imprisoned in Yemen for 16 years have returned home, thanks to the efforts of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Link Office in Muscat, Oman.

Saleem and Imam Bakhsh, both from Karachi, and Khudad from Gwadar, were arrested in 2008 for illegally entering Yemen’s territorial waters while fishing. They were released last night and have been reunited with their loved ones in Pakistan.

The FIA Link Office in Muscat, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Yemen, worked tirelessly to secure their release. The spokesperson for the FIA confirmed the news, highlighting the agency’s commitment to helping Pakistani citizens in distress abroad.

The return of the three fishermen marks a significant success for the FIA and its international partners, and is a testament to the power of collaboration and diplomacy in resolving complex cases.
