CHINA AND PAKISTAN ENJOY TIME-TESTED FRIENDSHIP, INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION ESSENTIAL

Islamabad,Aug. 06: A high-level Chinese delegation led by Mr. Wang Fuqiang, representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited Gwadar to discuss future investment opportunities, development programs, and ongoing projects.

The delegation reviewed the progress of projects like the New Gwadar International Airport and the Pak-China Friendship Hospital. They also visited the South Free Zone and Gwadar Port, highlighting their significance for future trade and economic activities.

A meeting was held between the Chinese delegation and officials of the Gwadar Port Authority, discussing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase 2 projects.

Balochistan Finance Minister, Mr. Zahoor Buledi, welcomed the participants. Gwadar Port Authority Chairman, Mr. Naseer Khan Kashani, briefed the participants on the importance of CPEC for Gwadar Port’s success.

Chairman China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC), Mr. Zeng Yibo, also spoke on the occasion.

This visit underscores the strong friendship and industrial cooperation between China and Pakistan, crucial for regional development and economic growth.
