HIGH COURT OF BALOCHISTAN TAKES UP N25 ROAD PROJECT CASE

Quetta, August 5: The High Court of Balochistan heard the case of the N25 Karachi-Quetta-Chaman road project on Tuesday. A two-member divisional bench, comprising Justice Abdullah Baloch and Justice Rozi Khan Barez, was informed by Planning Division and National Highway Authority (NHA) officials that tenders for the dualization of the N25 road project had been received and were being evaluated.

NHA Member Balochistan, Syed Bashir Hussain, assured the court that land acquisition had been completed, and all tenders had been opened. He also stated that the bidding process was underway, and tenders would be awarded soon.

The court expressed satisfaction with the progress of the project and directed the authorities to complete the work as soon as possible. The court also instructed the parties to submit their progress reports by the next hearing date, set for September 17, 2024.

The NHA officials assured the court that the construction of the N25 road would be completed on time and that sufficient funds had been allocated for the project. They also informed the court that the repair work on the Sorab, Nag, and Gwadar roads was underway at a rapid pace.

The court’s directives and the NHA’s assurances indicate a commitment to completing the N25 road project and improving the region’s infrastructure.
